License, Subscription & Help

The License screen is where you check your DocLock licence, manage your subscription and billing, reach support, read release notes and find product information. A coloured licence banner sits at the top, and the rest of the screen is split into tabs: License Details, Subscription, Support, Changelog and About.

License screen overview

How to open this screen

  • Route: system/license-help
  • Access: available to signed-in users. Unlike the other system settings pages, this screen does not require the SYSTEM.MANAGE_SETTINGS permission, so it can be used as a reference and support entry point.

The licence banner

At the very top, a gradient banner summarises your active licence at a glance:

  • The plan name (e.g. DocLock Enterprise), the licensee, seat count and workspace allowance.
  • The expiry date and how many days remain.
  • Four quick stats: Plan, Seats, Support tier and Build version.

Below the banner, a left rail holds the five tabs plus a Quick Links box with shortcuts to Documentation, API Reference, Video Tutorials, Community Forum, Status Page and Roadmap.

License Details tab

Shows the full picture of your entitlement:

  • License Details — licensee, license type, activation date, maintenance expiry, environment, server fingerprint, maximum seats, guest users, workspaces, included storage, issuer and invoice reference.
  • License Key — the key is masked by default; use the eye button to reveal it and the copy button to copy it. A note reminds you to keep it confidential.
  • Module Entitlements — a grid of modules (Document Management, Workflow Engine, ITSM, Asset Management, Advanced Reports, E-Signature, AI Document Analysis, OCR Engine, Multi-Tenancy, Mobile App) showing which are enabled (green tick) or not.
  • Seat Usage — progress bars for Named Users, Concurrent sessions, API Tokens and Guest Access, each showing used vs total and a utilisation percentage.

License Details tab

Subscription tab

Covers your plan and billing:

  • Current Plan — billing cycle, next renewal, per-seat price, total seats and annual total, with buttons to Upgrade / Add Seats, Download Invoice and Update Payment Method.
  • Billing History — a table of past invoices with invoice number, date, period, amount and a Paid / Due status.
  • Plan Comparison — side-by-side Professional, Business and Enterprise plans with per-seat pricing and feature lists; your current plan is marked Current.

Support tab

Your direct line to help:

  • Your Support Plan — the SLA card showing your tier (e.g. Platinum) with target response times for Critical, High and Normal issues, plus availability.
  • Contact Support — a form to raise a ticket: Subject, Priority (Low, Normal, High, Critical) and Description, with Submit Ticket, Call Support and Live Chat buttons.
  • Open Support Tickets — a list of your current tickets with their ID, priority, status (In Progress / Awaiting Reply) and when they were opened.

Support tab

Changelog tab

A timeline of Release Notes. Each release shows its version number, a type badge (Major, Minor or Patch), the date, and an Installed badge for your current build. Individual changes are tagged New, Fix, Improved or Security so you can quickly see what each release contained.

About tab

Product and environment information:

  • About DocLock — version and build, release date, and the technical stack (Angular, Node.js, database, storage, hostname, deployment time and copyright).
  • Documentation & Resources — link cards to the User Guide, Admin Guide, API Reference, Video Tutorials, Community Forum and System Status Page.
  • Third-Party Licences — the open-source libraries DocLock uses, with their versions and licence types.

Common tasks

Raise a support ticket

  1. Open the Support tab.
  2. Fill in Subject, choose a Priority, and describe the issue in Description.
  3. Click Submit Ticket — or use Call Support / Live Chat for urgent matters.

Copy your licence key

  1. Open the License Details tab.
  2. Click the eye button to reveal the key, then the copy button to copy it.

Check what's new

  1. Open the Changelog tab.
  2. Find the release marked Installed to see what's in your current build, and scroll for earlier releases.

Tips

  • Use the Seat Usage bars on the License Details tab to spot when you're close to your named-user limit before sign-ups start failing.
  • The Plan Comparison on the Subscription tab is the fastest way to see what an upgrade would unlock.
  • Set the Priority on a support ticket honestly — it drives the response-time SLA shown on the Support tab.
