Recent Documents
The Recent Documents screen is a quick way back to the files you've worked with lately. It lists the documents you've recently edited or viewed, newest first, so you can pick up where you left off without searching or browsing folders.

How to open this screen
From the left navigation menu, open Document Explorer → Recent Documents, or go directly to the
route documents/recent.
- Access required: permission to view documents (
DOCUMENTS.VIEW).
What you see on this page
The page shows a list of recent items grouped under three tabs:
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All Recent | Everything you've recently edited or viewed. |
| Edited by Me | Only documents you recently changed. |
| Viewed | Only documents you recently opened to read. |
Each row shows the document's icon, name, the workspace and person associated with it, an Edited or Viewed tag, and how long ago it was touched (for example "2 hours ago").
If there's nothing to show in a tab, you'll see a friendly "No recent documents" message.
Opening a recent document
- Choose the tab that matches what you're after — All Recent, Edited by Me, or Viewed.
- Find the document in the list (the most recent items are at the top).
- Click the row to open its full Document Details page.
Tips
- Use Edited by Me to jump straight back to a draft you were working on.
- Use Viewed to re-open something you read earlier but didn't change.
- The relative time ("5 minutes ago", "yesterday") helps you tell similar files apart.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| The page or menu item isn't visible | You may not have the DOCUMENTS.VIEW permission — contact your administrator. |
| A tab is empty | You haven't edited or viewed anything recently in that category yet. |
| A document you expected is missing | It may have dropped off the recent list; use All Documents or Advanced Search instead. |
